The point of this film is to get kids to never ever ever do drugs.
-------It's not just to scare them-----
It's to fully prepare them. It's to "just be aware" them.
We've got a responsibility.
---------In Truth------------
You can't expect kids to get accurate information about drugs from their peers. For one thing, drug dealers are out to make money and they will stop at nothing to make something sound good (even if it isn't). People then end up doing things they then later regret, out of desparation to retrieve more substance. That's another point of the movie. It then goes into the process of manufacturing hard drugs, and the concentration process that makes them so potent. Then it goes back into the same basic premise of increased potency in regards to Alcohol.
Artistically, this film is directed to blur the viewer from the intended message. It's not supposed to come across as your commonplace public service announcement. There will be sex. There will be violence. It's a film about drugs and it's going to show that kind of life. So be prepared for it.
Usually I don't do R Rated things.
At least not on film.
