It's built to be hand-held like a video game controller, with the idea to be to use it on stage as a light show for a performer, since the switch is so accessible next to you where the "B" button normally would be.

This is the actual camera that the characters in the show "To The Internet!" use to film their show. They're made out of modular bricks from the 20th century.
